In mid-October, we had the pleasure of participating in a charity event, Three Pours, hosted by SKYLIGHT in the Santa Fe Arts District of Denver. Featuring three food and beer pairings, the event benefited Water for People, a nonprofit organization which provides safe water and sanitation services in nine countries across South America, Africa and Asia.
The crew at SKYLIGHT teamed up with hooray! rentals, Colorado Party Rentals, Wallflower Rentals and Décor, and floral genius, Wandering Poppy Co to design, decorate and furnish the space with dining tables, a lounge area and three “stations” for the tastings. The Intrepid Sojourner Beer Project provided a different beer for each pairing and the samples at each station varied.
To start, brand new bakery, Rebel Bread, served a pumpkin, sage and walnut sourdough, which paired perfectly with the Botanical IPA. Next up, the Basil IPA to go with All Love Catering’s flank steak, fingerling potatoes, and horseradish cream sauce. And finally, for dessert Buttercream Bakeshop’s Vanilla Vanilla cupcakes alongside a full, rich Turkish Coffee Stout.
Nufusion Productions provided the music and last, but not least, all photographs by Matthew Speck Photography.
